Boat people


35 Vietnamese refugees wait to be taken aboard the amphibious command ship USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC-19). They are being rescued from a 35 foot fishing boat 350 miles northeast of Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam, after spending eight days at sea.
South China Sea....A Vietnamese Refugee with his belongings secured in between his teeth, climbs a cargo net to the deck of the combat store ship USS White Plains, AFS-4. The ship is picking up twenty-nine refugees from a 35 Foot wooden Boat., 07/30/1979
